| OPTIONAL OVERVIEW SESSIONS
- THURSDAY, JUNE 28 |
We know that most educators are well-versed in the basics of Common Core Standards, but some may opt to join us for a refresher
course on Thursday, June 28 at no additional cost. We will discuss the two assessment consortia, PARCC and SmarterBalanced,
discuss the organization of the standards, and how to begin implementation. Friday and Saturday’s sessions will feature more
in-depth discussions on assessment creation and analysis, instructional strategy, implementation for ELL and Special Ed
populations, and more. Thursday sessions are not recommended for all attendees, only those who are beginning their implementation
process, or looking for a review of the Standards.
All conference attendees have the option to register from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm on Thursday – before the official conference launch on Friday!
